The official hotel for the players ist the Hilton Mainz. The Hilton offers a limited number  of rooms for special rates: from € 49.50 (double room, breakfast) to € 85.00  (single room, breakfast) per person and night during the Chess Classic, August 13 to 18, 2003. 
You have to order your room directly at the Hilton (Tel ++49-6131-2450). More hotels and restaurants on offer you can find at  Mainz - Info.

Daytickets for the events are € 6.00 for adults and € 4.00 reduced. They can be bought  directly at the Chess Classic. Players in the Open are entry free in the evening. Parking houses (liable to pay)  you'll find nearby at the Hilton Hotel (beneath the main entry at the river Rhein side), in the Lohrstrasse (opposite the river Rhein side, beneath the Dome side of the Hotel) and at the Townhall/Rheingoldhalle (second building on the right side of the hotel).
